Privacy

Circle and Rest is part of Ruth Unaegbu Counselling and Coaching, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where they apply.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address.
• Register interest: your name, email address, and the gathering you are interested in.
• Enquiries: your name, email address, and what you choose to tell us about your enquiry, such as your organisation, group size, and timing.
• Retreat applications: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to share on the form, such as your phone number, where you live, what draws you to the retreat, dietary or accessibility needs, and how you heard about us.

Please share only what you are comfortable with. The application form is not the place for health information; if there is something you would like Ruth to know, she is happy to talk it through with you directly.

How we use it

Only to contact you about Circle and Rest: to tell you when gatherings open, to respond to your interest or application, and to prepare for a retreat you join. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not add you to any other mailing list.

Where it is kept

Form submissions are sent to Ruth by email and a copy is kept in a private, password-protected area of our web hosting (Hostinger). Access is limited to Ruth. Our hosting and email providers may store information on servers outside Canada.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you are on the waitlist or in contact with us about a gathering, and delete them when you ask us to, or when they are no longer needed.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and its fonts are hosted on our own website, so your browser does not connect to Google or other font services when the page loads.

If a welcome video is shown on the site, it plays from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo, and those services may collect information when you press play.

On our companion pages, any notes you write are saved only in your own browser on your own device. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, at any time. You can also ask to be removed from the waitlist. Email hello@circleandrest.com and we will respond within 30 days.
